At Aquatic Depot we are fish keepers too. We were frustrated by local retailers with poor service, expensive products and out of date websites! Much like you we routinely need supplies and products for our hobby. Time after time sourcing products that were out of stock, end of line or on back-order. So we decided to do something about it!
Sourcing products abroad seemed the only option. Since if one Fish shop was out of stock they seemed to all be. So we have sourced a range of products from abroad from a variety of suppliers and sell and market them on this website.
Our point of difference a range of competitively priced products not always available from your local fish shop. However due to a lack of warehouse space some products may have longer than expected shipping times as they have come from abroad.
We are New Zealand owned and operated. We have 20 years experience in retail and e-commerce. We sell a wide range of Aquarium Supplies and equipment via our website. Once we develop our retail store likely to be post Covid at this stage. We will be looking at developing our product range and stocking livestock not possible in our current setup.
We are also developing our own range of fish food products around eco-friendly packaging and more cost effective than recognized commercial brands. Removing the plastic packaging that is so harmful to the fish we love. We are currently working with manufactures and trialing products. We hope to introduce them to our website in the near future.
